FreeAIWiper for desktop
Clean supported AI metadata from images, PDFs, documents, audio, video and text on your computer. Connect compatible AI apps to clean generated files before sharing.
App preview
Use FreeAIWiper with Codex, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other supported local AI apps. Its local MCP server and cleanup instructions help agents return copies with supported metadata removed.
FreeAIWiper detects supported AI apps installed on your computer.
Connect your AI app and use one shared folder setting for generated files and cleaned copies.
A compatible agent can save an accessible file, call FreeAIWiper locally, and link to the verified cleaned copy.

Choose the build for your PC.
Run the setup file. It installs the app and adds a Start menu shortcut for your user.
Most Windows PCs use the Intel / AMD build. Choose Arm64 for Windows on Arm.

Extract the archive and open freeaiwiper-desktop. To add a menu shortcut, run sh install.sh from the extracted folder.
Built on Ubuntu 24.04. Other distributions need compatible system libraries and graphics drivers; compatibility is not yet verified.
Once installed, FreeAIWiper cleans supported files without an internet connection. Its cleaning engine reads and writes files locally instead of uploading them to our servers.
You choose the folders. Originals stay in place, and verified cleaned copies are saved to your chosen destination.
Cloud AI services may still need internet to generate files. FreeAIWiper’s metadata cleanup runs on your computer.
Remove supported generator tags and C2PA Content Credentials from supported file structures. Coverage depends on the format.
Choose to remove supported personal metadata, such as author or GPS details where the format supports them.
Clean supported invisible Unicode traces with conservative defaults designed to preserve meaning. This does not rewrite your text.
Yes. Save an accessible image or document from ChatGPT, then clean it in FreeAIWiper. Supported file-level AI metadata, including supported C2PA records, can be removed. Embedded watermarks may remain.
FreeAIWiper removes supported file metadata, which is sometimes called an AI watermark or AI signature. It does not erase visible logos or handwritten signatures, and it does not guarantee removal of invisible content-level watermarks such as SynthID.
Automatic cleanup depends on your AI app, tool permissions and access to the file. Codex installs standing cleanup instructions; Claude Desktop uses local MCP tools with workflow instructions you copy into the chat. The original generated preview may still appear.
Yes. After installation, supported file and text cleaning runs offline on your computer. Downloading the app and generating files with a cloud AI provider may require internet access.
Supported images, PDFs, Office documents, audio, video and text. Format and size limits apply; encrypted or digitally signed PDFs are refused. Check the format guide for the supported signals and limitations.
No. FreeAIWiper verifies the supported traces it can inspect. Other signals may remain, and cleaning does not prove human authorship or change how a file was created.
Cleaning covers supported metadata and text traces. Invisible or visual watermarks may remain; a clean result does not establish how a file was created.
